Shopping in Mai Khao Beach
The small shopping village of Turtle Village in Mai Khao Beach started modestly more than a decade ago but grew and gained recently in popularity as the area became more in demand with travellers wanting to escape the busy beaches of the south. The place is vast and spacious and is a mix of international brands and local vendors setting up their stalls in open spaces and by the street sides.
There are several restaurants to enjoy in the village itself, mostly international names such as Pizza Company, Swensen, Bonchon Korean Fried Chicken, and The Coffee Club, and some more cosy places like Bill Bentley Pub.
For the shopping, expect to find Rip Curl and a lot of sports equipment. The Jim Thompson shop is a popular place to shop for silk souvenirs made in Thailand. On the practical side, there is a big 7-Eleven convenience store.

If you are looking for more local Thai food and seafood, walk a little further behind Turtle Village to find a vast area surrounded by restaurants.
