The Library Phuket is unassuming from the outside; it looks like an anonymous old-fashioned library and is always empty of guests. If, like us, you know there is a bar at the end of the street, but you don’t know what to expect, once you open the back door, it’s quite a good surprise.

The Library used to be located at the Quip Hotel at the other end of Ratsada Road. You will now find it next to the fountain waterfall at the other end of the street.

The Library Phuket is a popular venue for the young local crowd and a few expats to enjoy until late at night. The cocktails are superbly executed, and the bartenders enjoy demonstrating their juggling skills to the music played by the DJ.

The Library Signature Cocktails

Three Kingdom (Tequila, Vanilla, Oolong Tea, Lime, Apple, Passion Fruit),
Ka Nom Thai (Vodka, Pandan, Palm Sugar, Apple Syrup),
Look E-San (Vodka, Tabasco, Pineapple, Lime, Egg White),
Little Witch & Magic Lamp (Gin, Apple, Cinnamon, Cucumber, Lime, Egg White),
Street Art (Rum, Jasmin, Butter Scotch, Palm Sugar, Egg White),
Ko-Pe (Tequila, Coffee, Vanilla, Egg White).

The Shooters cost 250 baht, the classics 260 baht: Mojito, Penicillin, Cover Club, Pina Colada, Sex on the Beach, Margarita, Midori Sour and Whisky Sour and the timeless cocktails are at 300 baht: Negroni, Dry Martini, Manhattan.
