Tunk Ka Cafe is one of our favourite restaurants in Phuket Town, a long-established hillside place beautifully built on top of Khao Rang Hill, with striking panoramic views of Phuket city. Tunk Ka Cafe is a romantic place, with three separate terraces framed with large trees, and a nice breeze flowing through always keeps the place cool.
CaVa Bien Marché (which is pronounced sava) is a casual restaurant and bistro on Dibuk Road in Old Phuket Town. The food is good and the layout attractive. The restaurant uses a typical Phuket shophouse and therefore is very long and narrow.
TAKÉ (pronounced ‘takeh’) is an excellent Japanese restaurant often recommended by the Japanese expat community of Phuket, which is quite a statement.
Ska Bar is a small but iconic Reggae bar built in the shade of an immense tree, right on the beach in Kata. This unique setting makes it a perfect spot to end your day on the beach, even if you are not a Reggae fan. The atmosphere is relaxing, the view of the bay beautiful, and while you can’t really see the sunset from the bar itself, you can admire the sky colours reflecting on the wet sand.
