Upstairs is Eagle Nest, a small rooftop bar on the 5th floor, which also faces the Temple of Dawn. It’s a relaxed place—more about the view than the cocktails—and it doesn’t usually get crowded. Most people come here in the late afternoon or early evening, order a drink, and enjoy the view as the sun sets and the temple lights come on. The rooftop isn’t huge, but that’s part of the charm. It’s peaceful, casual, and feels more like a hideaway than a party spot.

The location of Sala Rattanakosin is perfect for travellers who want to explore Bangkok’s historical heart. Wat Pho is just behind the hotel, and the Grand Palace is a short walk away. You can also catch a ferry across the river to Wat Arun in just a few minutes. The area gets quiet at night, so it’s not for those looking for nightlife, but for anyone interested in history, culture, and photography, it’s one of the best places to stay in the city.
