A great rooftop bar by the Bangkok riverside
The Three Sixty Rooftop Bar at Millennium Hilton Bangkok is superb but underappreciated. This might be because, from afar, the bar seems to be inside an indoor panoramic cupola. Located just next to IconSiam, this bar has fantastic views as it seems to hang high above the busy Chao Phraya River, but it would not qualify as a rooftop if there were no outdoor area.
You need to walk behind that cupola to find the real outdoor terrace and its dedicated bar with plenty of super comfortable sofas to hang and watch boats and barges gliding down the river and the daylight fading away on the Bangkok skyline.
They even used to play old Chaplin movie nights and serve Valentine’s picnic baskets with Champagne; that was really creative and super fun. Their choice of wines by the glass and fun cocktails is excellent. The dress code is smart casual, with no flip-flops, sleeveless tee shirts and short pants. Prices are what you can expect from a 5-star hotel rooftop, beer is 250 baht, and a glass of wine starts at 500 baht; all prices come with 7% tax and a 10% service charge; while that seems to be expensive, that’s pretty much the norm for such a venue.
Three Sixty Rooftop Lounge is still one of our favourite rooftops in Bangkok because it’s a little less hectic than Sky Bar at State Tower or Vertigo at Banyan Tree, and you get to ride a little boat across the river to reach the hotel; it is a nice little romantic touch.
